little dutch girl
Lara Stone returned to her hometown of Mierlo, Netherlands for T Magazine's A/W'11 travel issue to eat pancakes with her family, galavant around Amsterdam and pose in cardboard cutouts with her father. Styled by Sara Moonves and shot by Angelo Pennetta, this 'little dutch girl' has escaped, at least for one editorial, from her gap toothed sex appeal and has found herself in pigtails and and a whole lot-o-denim.
LOOK-A-LIKES
This is a picture of Anna Dello Russo, my Italian lover (from afar) wrapping herself in American flags sporting a coy smile and being an overall chic italian patatina (first day of Italian class! ciao ciao ciao, mi chiamo zoe!!)
This is a picture of myself, a New Yorker wrapping herself in Siena flags with an uncomfortable smile forcing two people to hold flags but stay out of the picture. TWINS? Twins.

this is what dreams are made of
I am sitting in my kitchen in Siena eating the most delicious pear I have ever tasted as the Lizzie Mcguire CD is (not so) casually playing in the background. I AM FINALLY HERE! After the most disastrous plane experience, ever, I got somewhere I belong, somewhere to love. This is what dreams are made of! (uncomfortable if you don't understand this reference. hi mama!) glitter and gold
While Frederick The Great once said "A crown is merely a hat that lets the rain in," I would like to say crowns are much, much more.
They help spice up an unattractive rhinestoned tee like Jamie Lynn Spears:
help you find your prince charming (or that guy from Glee whose in a wheelchair) like Katy Perry:
Or help you look wistful and mysteriful like this random girl I found on flickr:
A crown is always a necessity. So hey, no judgement on your wardrobe choices or male suitors. Here is a step by step tutorial on how to be the most fabulous you.
Step 1: Take a piece of wire and wrap it around your head.
Step 2: Take a second piece of wire and wrap it around the first piece to reinforce.
Step 3: Take a third piece of wire and start making triangles along your circle like so.
Step 4: Ta Daa! YOU'RE HALF WAY DONE! MARVEL AT YOUR BEAUTIFUL WIRED SITUATION!
Step 5: Pick some pretty fabric and lay it down on a flat surface. Lay your wired triangles on top of the fabric, trace, and then cut.
Step 6: Cut a second piece.
Step 7: Decorate and give to your grandmother for endless love and adoration!
Step 8: REPEAT.
