The more time I spend in Italy, the more I realize the importance of the detail. It's about the tiny gold pinky ring that's almost hidden from view. The layer of floral chiffon peeking from piles of denim. The hand sewn stitches inside a leather glove. In Italy, the details are everywhere. The unicorn fountain hidden behind a café. The handmade pasta in the shape of tiny gondolas. The sequined sneakers a 5 year old wore to the daycare I teach at. As I sit in my little apartment in Siena pouring over Tommy Ton's pictures from NYFW I realize the details are the things I search for first. It's the heart the barista made on the top of your cappuccino foam that makes you stop and smile. Hoorah for an insanely cheesy post but
ITALY MAKES ME SO EMOTIONAL.
LONG LIVE TINY BUTTONS, BANDAID TATOOS & LAYERS.
