An ode to the essence mermaids.

wishful thinking

Perhaps I haven't been the best cyber friend lately. Some could call me neglectful, sporadic, and even uncaring. But I care! And I'm back. After sitting in the jury duty waiting room for now almost 11 hours, I've had some time to  think about the things that really matter to me. The american legal system, sure; the dumpling house down the street, why not, but it's all about photography people! And sharing those images with you. So now, I present to you some very dreamy pictures by Maison Gray. As much as I've enjoyed my time of self-reflection in this waiting room, I would really much prefer to be a Maison Gray speck.

For a long time I resisted the urge to put Chloë Sevigny on the blog for fear of being too obvious but OH MY GOD I just watched Gummo and she is the ultimate girl crush forever and always. Ignore the fact that she's worked with every swoon worthy fashion designer in the industry (Mui Mui, Chloé, Louis Vuitton) or that her own collection was sold exclusively at Opening Ceremony,  Barneys, Colette and the Dover Street Market. Even ignore the fact that the NY Times called her the "coolest girl in the world" when she was 18 or that she dated Harmony Korine after she got the lead role in his film Kids due to her white blonde hair. Simply put, Sevigny is painfully cool. She epitomizes every street photographer's sugar coated day dream and is the heart throb of any director who knows anything about anyone.
